The SamY Solar Plus provides innovative technology fitting well into the modern world of comfort and space saving equipment.

The GPS-controlled system either automatically tracks the course of the sun or uses its 65cm offset antenna to provide reliable satellite reception even in remote areas. You can easily change between television mode or solar mode at the switch of a button.

The Satellite Dish
This model is independent of receivers. This means you can plug in a receiver of your choice, whether it is a Freeview, Freesat Sky or Virgin box. However this means that some channels will require you to change the satellite you are viewing from manually using the provided control panel. (Oyster Digital systems allow you to control the satellite automatically via your remote control - you are unable to upgrade to Oyster Digital at a later date.)

The system is also very tolerant against adverse reception conditions in poor weather. The satellite dish is made from stainless steel, aviation grade aluminium and modern UV and weather resistant plastics specifically designed for exterior use.

Using the provided control unit the antenna moves into the last reception position (LEM) at the touch of a button. If no image is received in this position, the automatic search function is started immediately. The backlit display keeps you informed about the various functions. Its automatic satellite finding function means you will no longer need to climb upon the roof of your vehical in order to tune your television.

The Solar Panel
The SamY Solar Plus uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to supply accurate geographical data of the location, date and time. With this information the SamY Solar Plus (in the solar mode), determines the exact position in relation to the sun. The solar module is aligned automatically, even in particularly cloudy weather enabling the panel to supply maximum current to the leisure batteries powering your motorhome. It is equipped with a 50 watt solar module. Because of its ability to track the sun at the optimum angle, SamY Solar Plus will yield on average up to three times the power of a conventionally mounted panel of the same size. When in solar mode the system will automatically open at dawn and retract at dusk.

With this combination of features, this system is therefore both Green and money saving.
